I don't get mad, I get even

I don't want to get mad

but I usually do

there is always something

that drives me to the edge

that pushes the right buttons

there is always a reason to get mad

I just wish I didn't

To get even, such a hard thing to do

it is the hardest thing

it is not mine, but I want it so

I dream and wander in thoughts

and schemes on that idea

but I hardly do so and even then

it is not how I like it to

but
